The
Yadkin River Valley in the Piedmont of North Carolina with its
dry summers offers an ideal environment for producing excellent
fruit for outstanding wine.
Hanover Park
Vineyard is an interesting mix of old time camaraderie and new
technology. In the shade of the massive oak trees beside the
old farmhouse, you will find picnic tables to rest at while sipping
a glass of your favorite European style wine or bring a picnic
and enjoy warm Southern Hospitality and a cool breeze.

Join
me in visiting with Amy Helton as we tour a truly unique North
Carolina winery. |
Amy
and Michael are teachers by trade and the winery is fondly referred
to as "The Teacher Winery" by many. There is no full
time staff at Hanover Park, so they rely on friends and neighbors
and willing volunteers to help at harvest. Depending on the time
of year, you can even help with the picking of the grapes and watch
as they are run through crusher and sent to the tanks to ferment
when you stop by to visit.
