Buck Shoals Vineyard & Winery

Buck Shoals is one of the brand new wineries in the Swan Creek Region. Opening in October 2004 for a progressive festival in Swan Creek, Buck Shoals was host to over 250 visitors in their first afternoon!
The vineyard is located in Hamptonville, N.C. on Windsor Road approximately 2 miles from Buck Shoals Creek. The creek was the home of Buck Shoals Mill, a water wheel grist mill that was built around 1880. This was the inspiration for the vineyards name.

JoAnne Crater talks to us about the story of Buck Shoals.

Buck Shoals Vineyards is a bonded winery sharing a production facility with another bonded winery, Raffaldini Vineyards. This unique arrangement enables two separate wineries to operate under one roof, thereby reducing overhead while producing totally separate and distinct wines. This building currently houses the production equipment and a temporary tasting room.
Buck Shoals is growing still, there are plans underway to have the tasting room and wine shop in a new log cabin in front of the winery.
