Garden
Gate, a warm and friendly boutique winery tucked into the countryside
in Mocksville, is a pleasure to visit. Owners Bob and Sonya take
the time to really chat with their visitors, giving you the true
measure of Southern Hospitality. As you enter you will see a large
selection of pottery, vases, bird houses and other pieces all handmade
by Sonya.
For
those of you who know and enjoy the native grapes of our region,
Garden gate offers wines made from blends of Muscadine, Scuppernong
and a refreshing twist of berries. Even if you think these grapes
are not your favorite, you need to give them a try.
I think you might be pleasantly surprised.
