Tucked
gently into the hillside of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the fertile
lands of the Yadkin Valley, we found Stony Knoll Vineyards. A lovely
brick building houses the huge, beautifully decorated tasting room
on one floor and in the basement, a sparkling clean production
facility.

Van
Coe explains the some of the history and the present day workings
of Stony Knoll. |
The
Coe's have mastered the mix of state of the art production with
the heritage of the old time Carolina family farm. From the entrance
to the tasting room you can see the vineyards that had been tobacco
fields and farmland for over one hundred years. Just across the
road from the pond you can see the old family homestead, a tribute
to years gone by.
