Nestled
in the foothills of the Brushy Mountains,a surprisingly easy drive
out Highway 421, just 10 minutes or so from the I-77 intersection
we find Windy Gap Vineyards another of the wineries in the Swan
Creek Wine Trail. Owners Allen and Sandra Hincher are proud
to proclaim the status of the smallest vineyard in the Yadkin Valley.
The quality and volume of the wine produced there is proof that,
in this case, size doesn't matter.

The winery
was originally built in the couples' home but the tasting room
has since grown enough that Allen and Sandra have had to move
out to accommodate their visitors. The
tasting room and retail area are beautifully decorated in the
Tuscan style and they carry a wide variety of wine related items
plus original wall art for your shopping pleasure.
